Memory Quilts

Losing a loved one is hard, and part of the grieving process may include cleaning out closets and dressers and not knowing what to do with it all.

Strong emotions can be tied to the clothing of a lost loved one, and when to take the next step is different for everyone. However long it takes, coming to the decision to create a memory quilt from them can be part of the healing journey for you or others affected by the loss.

For me, these quilts are the ultimate in special quilts, and I am here to help you create a beautiful quilt or quilts that will hopefully bring you comfort, peace, and joy as you process your grief.

What can I include in a memory quilt?

Just about anything can be included in a memory quilt! A good rule of thumb is "If you can wash it, you can use it." Here are a few examples:

Dress shirts or blouses

Long/short sleeve t-shirts

Golf or polo shirts

Sweatshirts

Jeans, slacks, dress pants

Skirts or dresses

Pajamas or nightgowns

Men's ties, handkerchiefs

Scarves

Baby clothes

Sheets and pillowcases

When we first start talking about the quilt or quilts you want made, we will also go over the clothing or other fabrics you want included in the final quilt or quilts.

You're not limited to just quilts, either! I can also create something special, such as a wall hanging or pillow. These will be priced accordingly and quoted upfront.

How much does a memory quilt cost?

Your memory quilt is planned and designed with your input to create a one-of-a-kind heirloom. Because each memory quilt is unique, the price for one varies from project to project, but typically starts at $400.00. I will provide you with a quote before starting your project!
